ALICE Testnet Launched — Muon January Recap
We’re off & running in 2023 with the successful launch of ALICE!
Many months of hard work behind the scenes and the patience of our community is beginning to be rewarded as we take Muon’s network technology public, setting the stage for even bigger things to come!

Successful ALICE Testnet Launch
The launch of ALICE took place successfully in January, and showcased not only a largely bug-free transition to the first public node network for Muon, but also the desire amongst operators to get involved. With over 900 active nodes running on the network, ALICE (as a testnet) is already surpassing major players like Chainlink (86 nodes) and Band Protocol (77 validators) as a large oracle network.
With incentives still to come into play via the Pioneer node-drop, and future nodes on Pioneer & Muon to be receiving network rewards/fees, we can only expect the number to increase!

Pioneer Canary Network Announced
On ALICE’s launch day, we revealed Muon’s plans for a canary network, named Pioneer. While ALICE’s test token has no financial value, $PION (Pioneer’s native token) will be carrying real value and can be traded. This makes Pioneer the most realistic proving ground for developing Muon applications ahead of the mainnet’s launch.
The tokenomics of the Pioneer network will be cantered around incentivizing node operators, starting with a ‘node-drop’ to both ALICE node operators and $MUON pre-sale participants. This means these two groups are given precedence to run a Pioneer node for free (not needing to purchase and lock $PION) and collect $PION network rewards.

Thena — DEX Launch + DiBs
Launching at the very end of 2022, Thena’s DEX model has already proven extremely popular for both protocols and users on the BNB Chain. In just 3 weeks, they have surpassed the $100M TVL mark, yielding rewards for both LP’s and veTHE voters.
Continuing their momentum, Muon’s DiBs referral technology has undertaken internal testing with the Thena team, and its integration will take place on Feb 2nd!
DEUS — V3 Trading in Closed Alpha
The closed alpha launch of the DEUS V3 trading engine, in collaboration with dSynths, represented a significant amount of work from the DEUS team. In a period when the demand for on-chain derivatives solutions is higher than ever, DEUS’s unique and sustainable mechanisms have made them well-placed to take full advantage of the growing sector.

FEAR — Wolf NFT Reveal
The Wolves are coming! FEAR have recently begun the long-awaited reveals of their FEAR Wolf NFT collection. This is a project backed by Muon’s MRC-721 technology, making the wolves easy to integrate across FEAR’s cross-chain ecosystem as the main NFT in their Blood Realms game.
