The shortest month of the year has been a busy one in the Muonverse! Our developers have been in full swing taking onboard user feedback from the public ALICE Testnet, to streamline network operations in preparation for the launch of the Pioneer Canary network, with the first usage of real funds on a Muon-based network.
ALICE Development Progressing
The popularity of running a node on ALICE is a great testament to the excitement around Muon amongst the community. Following January’s successful launch, we now have over 6,500 unique nodes active on just the testnet, making it the largest oracle node network anywhere!
Our developers have been working in collaboration with community members to resolve minor bugs and improve the node onboarding process, as well as deploying the first Muon apps for network testing, and creating tools such as the node dashboard, live monitoring system and a network explorer for better UX visibility.
Pioneer Reward Eligibility Revealed
ALICE node operators have plenty to look forward to, with details of the ‘node-drop’ $PION rewards revealed recently. Users who joined before February 27th now need only to operate their nodes for a further 60 days in order to receive the full reward!
To show our appreciation to everyone who contributed to the initial ALICE testing, there are also partial rewards on offer. In addition, participants in the $MUON pre-sale who are also running ALICE nodes will receive a multiplier on their rewards! For further information on these, see our article explainer here.
DiBs Referral Tech Launched
With its own dedicated product team and backed by Muon technology, the DiBs project hit the market early in the month in collaboration with our partners Thena. Providing on-chain referral verification, the system is being used to boost trading activity on Thena’s DEX by creating a win-win scenario for referrers and referees. With over 2,600 unique DiBs referral codes already created, it is proving very popular despite still being in a beta testing phase. And with constant improvements from the team, plus increasing interest from other projects, it’s a use-case we can expect to hear plenty more about going forward.

Thena Growth Continues
Thena have enjoyed another strong month of growth on their BNB Chain DEX. Aided by the earlier mentioned DiBs integration they have now passed over $150M in TVL! With a steady flow of new liquidity partners helping to provide a strong revenue stream to project holders, they are continuing to work towards their vision of being the native liquidity layer on BNB Chain.
FEAR Wolves on the Prowl
Our new team mascot ‘Muon Medusa’ joined us in February, courtesy of the FEAR team as they continue the unveiling of the visually-stunning Wolf NFT collection! With work being done to connect the wolves to more chains via Muon’s MRC721 bridge, we can expect the pack to be on the prowl all through FEAR’s blood realms very soon!

The popularity of Muon and its technical solutions is hardly clearer than when looking at the statistics in February. With 6,500+ ALICE nodes and 2,600+ DiBs codes on Thena, the word of Muon is fast growing and the foundation for increased network/technology demand is fast forming!

There’s no better place to be to keep up with the events of the Muonverse than the Discord! We’ve been making continuous improvements to the server, adding new features such as the #tech-status channel for major technical updates (ie. for known node bugs), the introduction of member rankings via our Mee6 bot, plus a network bot to track the number of active nodes on ALICE!
