Last year, I did a True Crime 5@4 on the Missy Bevers case. The gorgeous, 45 year old mom of 3 was murdered in a Midlothian Texas church in the early morning hours of April 18, 2016. She was there to host a Camp Gladiator fitness class. Due to the rain that morning, Missy may have been planning to hold the class inside of the church and she went inside with her belongings.

Surveillance footage of the killer wandering around the church was released to the public. The murderer seemed to be wearing police tactical gear and was carrying a hammer, but what really seemed to stand out to everyone including law enforcement, was the unique gait of the killer. The focus on the way this person carried themselves and walked led to questions from those following the case. Is the gait real or faked for the cameras? Is it a woman wearing shoes that are too big for her causing her to walk differently than usual? Is it an attempt to disguise their identity or even appear to be someone else? Then, there are the questions about the murder itself. Was it planned? Was this someone that somehow knew Missy? Was it a random burglary that Missy happened to walk in on?

The suspect.

For almost 5 years now, it seems as if nobody has these answers but we know that at least 1 person does — Missy’s killer — and it’s beyond time for that person to pay the price for ending Missy’s beautiful life.

Stella and I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Crystal and Renae, who you may know from their podcast, True Crime Broads. These strong, beautiful ladies have been determined to bring awareness to the case and ultimately find Missy’s killer. We talked to them about the case and their passion for solving it. We also talked a bit about the the rumors and speculation that ran rampant during this case along with the controversy that stemmed from it all.

All of us are hoping that 2021 is the year that this case will be solved and we believe that the more eyes that see this case, the more likely it will be solved soon.
