Who we are

Murmuration is a non-profit organization that works to drive change and accelerate progress toward a future where every child in America has the opportunity to benefit from a high-quality public education.

We provide sophisticated data and analytics, proprietary technology, strategic guidance, and programmatic support to partner organizations to build political power and marshal support so necessary improvements are made to our public schools.

Our team includes experts and innovators in data, analytics, and strategy. We also have former teachers, organizers, data scientists, nonprofit executives, and political campaign veterans contributing to these important efforts. Our collaborators include best-in-class providers of campaign technology and services for electoral, organizing, and advocacy projects.

Through this work, we spend a lot of time and energy with the platforms that support local politics and civic engagement, and the tools that enable community organizers and advocates to reach citizens and mobilize support of public education. We are not traditional tech investors, but we believe the tools designed to support local political activities should continue to evolve and improve — and they need the capital and opportunity to do so. When there are opportunities to support entrepreneurs who are taking on those challenges, we will do that. And when we have insights that we believe add value to the important discussions already happening around this work, we will share them here.

We hope that over time the information that we share can help electoral, organizing and advocacy efforts focused on improving public education will benefit.
