Murphy Hall Beyond the Beated Path
Walking through Murphy Halls to your regularly scheduled classes can be seen as a clean experience. However beyond the main path to the structures that keep the outside structure up there’s filth and disconnected structure between some rooms. An Attic have items on the floor film with the derelict and abandoned seats of the old theater, The Clocktower whose only entrance is a rusted cage, has a bird problem because after some poor birds find a cool place to stay, they end up getting stuck and slowly die up there so their body can be cleaned up afterward. Other than that, some other rooms don’t share the same design as the main portions of the hall.
Once such place is a photoshoot room located on the north side second floor that looks makeshift in its compacted and out of the way room. To get up there you need to walk up a narrow and wooden staircase that as of April 11, has some dirt still on them along with a wall with some drawn on graffiti with someone immortalizing the time of the pandemic. Past the photo room is another room that has bricks and wood instead of the regular drywall that surrounds the other portions of the building along with machinery, a flickering light and what appears to be servers on one end. Making a 180 back to the photoroom showcases an attic room filled with the desecrated corpses of the old seats of the Stiler Auditorium in which you have to climb another wooden staircase that you can see within it, showcasing dirt and trash such at what appears to be receipts, something to do with xbox and socks of all things.. Speaking of Stiler Auditorium, as of now that room is filled with medical Equipment such as beds all across. Hopefully there’s also plenty of room to store those in because as of now it’s a mess along with a bunch of Wheelchairs at the staircase to the projector booth.
While other rooms are nice like Room 108 or Room 117 which as we all know are the most important rooms of the entire building for all the classes taught there.
The Clocktower main room has some machinery behind the rusted gate along with pipes sticking out, the full extent of how scuffed the Clocktower is compared to everything else would need to be seen in its own expedition.
Now in my experience I understand why portions of the buildings don’t match. This is an old building that had to be reworked from a Horse Stable to a place of learning with modern technology. But I wish better care was taken in some of the more unexplored aspects of this hall we have as home.
