My First 30 Days Writing Challenge

Lesson #1: Don鈥檛 complicate things, go the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) way

If there鈥檚 one thing I prefer over writing, it鈥檚 reading. So, it should come as no surprise that my writing has been off and on since I became a Medium pro four years ago.

Mid last September, I took on a personal challenge of writing every day for one month. If I achieve a score of 27 out of 30 days, I will consider it a complete success and give myself a full pass score of 100%.

And I almost did it.

I was on course to achieve that goal, but life happened (for the better) and I had to reorder my priorities. During the last week of September, I wrote and published seven articles, one each day.

October rolled in, I decided to step up my act. From October 1st until the 18th, I wrote every day.

I wanted to write the best I could, even if my stories never get published on time. Writing every day, not necessarily publishing every day was the goal.
