The link to life Itself

I felt you
As you kicked and swirled
Deep inside me
A feeling
Known
But yet unseen
On the surface
Though I know you
Already
As you are forming
In the womb
Of my creation
The dream
Of you
Rising as a planet
In my belly

I see the truth
In my own eyes
On the transparent surface
Of my feelings
The fear of raising
A child
From source
For just as he is born
I am reborn
A mother
A role
So deep
It goes beyond
My wildest dream

For what lies ahead
Reaches all the way down
To the deepest
Wound of my vulnerability
The god particle
In the middle
Of this new seed growing
With unstoppable force
I am bursting
With feelings
Asking myself
If I’m ready for this

Tears mixed with fear
Mixed with stress
Stopping to obsess
Its a process
And I’m remembering
To let go
Finding paths
In currents of emotions
Trembling
In the salty ocean waves
And it feels like
Being Inside
Gods grace
Shaking love
To the very core of my being

My mother instinct
Draws me in
As a line of truth
To my natural power
Deeper and deeper
I am releasing
The most vulnerable part
Of myself
Into life
The bloody force
Of aliveness
In a new borns
Babys hand
Holding my heart
As a link
To life itself

A Journey into the wisdom of the poem

This poem I wrote to honor women and the process of giving birth. It’s inspired by my reflections on creativity, birthing, healing and motherhood. How it’s all connected. I am sure many people would assume I have a child or am currently pregnant from reading my poem, but I am not. I was just curious to go deeper into the process of birthing on all levels and my emotions related to it. Diving into what it is like to feel that great devotion, love, fear and responsibility all at the same time, and the different roles we play in each others lives. How the process of birthing really is a deep journey into ourselves and our emotions.

I have always been a wonderer inside my mind and heart. So to dream and explore my inner world on this subject has been a special experience in of itself. And you can say it’s a metaphorical way of describing the journey of birth, both of a baby, but also of ourselves and everything within our life. This poem presents you with the poetic beauty of birthing. What it entails to embark on such a life altering journey. I feel this deep knowing lives within every woman, even though we haven’t given physical birth.

Mothering

Holding my heart
As a link
To life itself

Whatever we create leaves us more vulnerable and naked. A baby is a link to our innermost feelings. It is creation itself, right there in our own hands, resting softly on our bosom. We nurture a child into life, just as we do our own inner child. And just as we do with any creative project or endeavors in our life. It’s about mothering. In all our projects we nurture our abilities, our inner world and we birth it into life. It’s a process we have to go through, a journey of giving birth. It’s the feminine energy of motherhood; nurturing, disciplining and creating. It’s within all of us.

Its a process
And I am remembering
To let go
Finding paths
In currents of emotions

The mother energy is something we are met with throughout our life. As a child we have our mother, or different maternal figures. And as we grow up we learn to gradually mother or father ourselves. To take care of and discipline ourselves. And we experience a process of letting go. And in doing so we realize the great responsibility our mother had. That both our parents had. Because we now have to do it ourselves. A process of accepting and letting go into the new. A rebirth. An honoring of motherhood.

Push and release

So it is a lot about realizing the different roles we play in each others life no matter where we are in our process. And also the roles we play within our own self. How we treat ourselves when going through metamorphosis. Like a caterpillar being born into a butterfly and the dandelion dissolving into seeds, flying out across the land. Have you discovered your wings? How to let go and embrace the new. Just like the sexual energy creates life in its deep pleasure and devotion of existence. To let go into the arms of creation, the depth of lovers meeting. In its true origin. To enjoy life is to create life. It’s many layers to this, and it’s all very much linked together with the process of birthing from source and into existence. We are a portal of life. When we push ourselves to the fullness of our abilities we grow. When we let go, the energy moves. Push and release, push and release. And thus, we are birthed as beings walking the land.

All linked together

I have reflected and felt deeply into how it would be like to be a mother. How it was like for my mother and father to have me. And also for everyone I know who have children. I have observed, and admired mothers both in the real world and on film. It’s something so beautiful about the maternal energy. It holds a power and wisdom so deep. We are all connected to this deep creative feminine power wether it be creating meaningful projects, giving birth, or caring for the beings in our life. To give physical birth as a woman or to birth a different understanding of ourselves. We experience many rebirths in our life. We move through different phases. And I believe a lot of it can be connected to the process of birthing. Of creating something new. To recycle into our truth, using the past as soil to grow. Creating from within us. Letting go and pushing a new seed into life. Bursting through the layer of our vulnerability. Like birthing a child. It’s beautiful how this all is linked together.

In the image of our heart

To sum it up I would say that for me the process of birth is connected to the core of creation. The creation journey that goes through many layers within us. This is how we learn, this is how we grow, this is how we evolve as human beings. Through the ever expanding wisdom and experiences in our life. It goes all the way back to how the universe was formed in the image of our heart. What image do you keep in your heart of yourself and creation?

When I write poems I am birthing something into life, from deep within me. It’s birthed from my heart and into creation. From how I see and experience life. Passing through my emotions and bursting out into reality. Through everything we grow up and learn. And we should never stop reinventing ourselves through life.

It is also important to remember that we sometimes need to fall back into our origin, the seed inside, if we loose track of who we truly are. Back to the center of our creation, to the core of our being. To recreate and discover who we are once again. To find clarity, solutions and guidance. And as Albert Einstein said; We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. We have to birth a new understanding. We are always children exploring life. Dont forget that! Thank you for joining me on this journey of my poem, and the different reflections that speaks of the miracle, beauty and strength but also the fear and responsibility of bringing something new into our life. And how it all starts out from within ourselves.

Inspiration

I was inspired to write this poem and reflections after the topic of creativity and motherhood has emerged in my life through conversations with a good friend, and also through reading some of the essays on the topic from my friends in the magazine Muse Me.
