Sweet dreams are made of this.

Paramore returned after four years with no new music back in 2017. Their latest album titled ‘After Laughter,’ was completely different than any other projects the Fueled By Ramen band has worked on. Evolving from a punk teen Warped Tourangst aura since their very first LP ‘All We Know Is Falling’ back in 2005- the band brought the 80’s rock vibes HARD with this one. Pay attention to the instrumentals in this album, they scream inspiration from classic 80’s artists. Songs like “Rose-Colored Boy” suggest Blondie vibes while the ending instrumental in “Hard-Times” remind us of New Order’s iconic “Blue Monday.”

Paramore’s frontwoman Hayley Williams is one of the most recognized faces recognized within mainstream rock and even outside of it, so it’s fitting that the band is steering into an exciting new direction. ‘After Laughter’ is the band’s fifth album but also their first album since the release of their self-titled 2013 album, a project Williams worked on without original bassist Jeremy Davis. This time around, Williams and band members Zac Farro and Taylor York completely remade themselves with digital percussions, and sweet yet sorrow melodies from the voice of their frontwoman.

The album is available for streaming on Apple Music and Spotify now. Watch the visual for “Hard-Times” below
