In on a Saturday Night.

Los Angeles natives Hunny just released their latest project, this time a full-length album featuring songs drawing from nostalgic new wave inspirations. Produced by Grammy-award winner Carlos de la Garza Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. dropped July 19th.

According to Epitaph Records, the project was birthed in November of last year during the devastating Woosley Fires in SoCal. “At one point, while members Jason Yarger (vocals), Jake Goldstein (guitar), and Joey Anderson (drums) were inside Kevin Grimmett’s (bass, keyboards) home demoing and writing, firefighters were in the backyard stopping the wildfire from encroaching onto the property.” Grimmett told Epitaph, “They blocked off all the streets and we had to sneak into my place through this apartment structure…Thankfully my house is still standing and the hills are bright green.”

The album is a work of art for 80’s new wave and 90’s pop enthusiasts everywhere. Songs such as “Saturday Night” and “Lula, I’m Not Mad” exude a lovesick desperate angsty mood that becomes addictive.
