Feign A Fiery Romance
A Poem of Guilt and Regret
The amber glow of the candle you light,
Shows the affection for me in your heart.
Been the friend always taking care of my needs,
Oh, my dear! You never gave up or made depart.
The soundless whispers in my head rise
Every day I come home and see you.
It’s painful sitting in the moonlight by your side
To feign a fiery romance with you.
I can never look into your eyes again,
Face the unconditional affection you blessed me with.
Should have known better than be unfaithful to you,
I can’t feed this love filled with myths untrue
There is no solace in the truth I am hiding,
But the pain is what I should only subject myself to.
At least lies would give you the peace I am missing,
The suffering is only for me to bear,
Only I and my lord almighty knew.
I can never stand by your side holding hands,
Celebrate the joy you brought to my life.
