Four Seasons of Despair
A Poem of Love, Tragedy & Pain
The clock keeps ticking,
But the pain doesn’t go away.
The stars keep shining,
Still sitting sadly by the bay.
Another beautiful day at sight,
Yet the wind is so cold.
The sun is about to set,
But the ache in the chest refuses to fold.
Another cycle of the four seasons,
Thousands of tears that I have shed.
Your departure is the only true reason,
The agony doesn’t end even with meds.
Four seasons of despair in each chapter,
Time moves, yet I am anchored there.
This is the weight I now silently bear,
A shattered heart left beyond repair.
Her memories are scorching solitude,
I combat it with blossoms of hope.
But the cycle never wished to end,
I am imprisoned in the loop.
Days become weeks, weeks become months and months become seasons. But the pain of heartbreak doesn’t go away. The…
