Father Patrick Setto sang with Josh Groban at one of his last pre-lockdown, concerts, one moment of many which influenced the writing of Groban’s newest song.
Citing all the faces we see on Zoom meetings and TV, Groban just released “Your Face,’’ his first single about what he learned from the life-changing experiences of lockdown. It is a song of hope.
“I can see fire burning way out there,’’ Groban sings of the pandemic. “I can feel the cold across the bitter air. And it makes me wonder how we’ll return. Where will we go, what we will do with all that we’ve learned?’’
