The Musiconomi Team, working to build a better tomorrow for today!
Working past midnight and painting the walls with workflows!
Our CTO Dan, breaking down complex ideas into workable UI/UX flows.

This month the team met in Toronto for several days to run a Google Design Sprint.

We worked hands on with several leaders in the music and digital space. Here are a few that we worked with:

Grayson Mathews

Grayson Matthews is a creative audio agency that specialises in music, sound and experiential work across film and television, advertising and immersive content. Our headquarters are in Toronto, but we work around the globe.

We first opened our doors 16 years ago as an audio company, but as communication has evolved and shifted, so have we. Our history of world-class audio production has united us with some of the brightest talents from around the world.

Coalition

We help artists and industry professionals, at all levels, build sustainable careers within a trusted creative community of mentoring, collaborating, networking and education.

Wax LTD Studios

WAX LTD is a music production company founded by multi-platinum producers/songwriters Wally Gagel and Xandy Barry. Both musicians themselves, their mission is to provide a creative and nurturing environment for the artists they work with while inspiring them to achieve their ambitions and goals.

WAX LTD STUDIOS is located at the legendary, former TTG studios (The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Velvet Underground, Neil Young, etc.) in Hollywood, CA. It is a state of the art recording facility utilizing the latest in digital equipment as well as classic vintage gear, including a unique collection of guitars, synths, amps and more.

WAX LTD RECORDS roster has included Zella Day, Family the Year, Redlight King, and Max and the Moon. Current artists include Blondfire, WORLDS, Nona, Emerson Star, Whissel, Micky Blue and Jukebox the Ghost.

Parts and Labor Records

Parts + Labor Records was created in Venice, Ca in 2015 by Jimmy Messer. He’s spent a long time working as a writer, producer, and/ or recording and touring guitarist with artists like Awolnation, Kygo, and Kelly Clarkson, but also several lesser known, equally talented and deserving people. He has devoted most of the last decade to developing new talent in hopes of them “getting signed”. Those experiences, some successful and some heartbreaking, inspired him to start this company. Technology has leveled the playing field when it comes to the production and distribution of music, and Parts + Labor embraces the opportunities that provides. After years of watching great artists passed over and albums shelved, he’s created an environment free from a warped sense of what is valuable. P+L is focused on making adventurous, authentic, creative records with artists we love and respect, and then putting them out.

P+L records are made in house. Our studio was designed and custom built around classic analog gear as well as incorporating all available modern technology. P+L’s building also hosts a live music venue where we’re we’ll be playing lots of shows.

Hear 360

HEAR360 is on a mission to make the digital world sound absolutely incredible. We do this by providing hardware and software solutions for today’s cinematic VR filmmakers, allowing them to deliver theatrical quality, head-trackable sound easily and affordably. The first product we are bringing to market is 8ball, an omni-binaural microphone which allows for directional recording that places the viewer in a field of 3D sound.

The underlying technology H360 Core creates a 3rd dimension to audio, giving the ability to place sound above, below, around, and even inside a listener’s head. When combined with omni-binaural recording the results are holographic, immediately immersing the viewer into the virtual world.

This approach to delivering a full use concept allowed us to walk through the entire process and how it would add value to labels and individual artists.

This “new world of music” framework will redefine and bring the much needed change to the existing industry. The more exciting features and products revolve around how we will incentivize and bring value directly to the individual and also small labels.

Building the new world of music doesn’t happen overnight. With this in mind, we have completed the required legal and business infrastructure setup. This is the main reason why we have been quiet on social. It takes quite a while to bring in all the right people to make this idea a reality.

We also are vetting the correct flow and what non-technical and technical hurdles that we will have to consider. We are getting great feedback from everyone we have interfaced with building the core design and feature set.

We are happy to have everyone on-board in our community helping to find the gaps in the current industry and giving us great feedback about what they think could be a potential addition to the process.

With 2018 right around the corner, we will continue to bring these needed changes to the world of music. We are excited to bring the alpha release of the platform in 2018 for your use and enjoyment.

We hope you are enjoying your holidays also!

All the best,

Your Musiconomi Team
