Let’s face it. Right now the Crypto World is essentially unregulated. Terms like “Wild West” get thrown around to describe the current regulatory framework — or lack thereof.

Considering that the blockchain industry is still in its infancy, this is not much of a surprise, since technology always moves faster than regulation.

Nonetheless, considering the staggering sums of money that have been collected this year in blockchain project crowdsales, and the overall amount of investment made into this industry as a whole, clearly some sort of regulation and oversight is badly needed.

No fledgling industry stands a chance of growing and becoming a major, mainstream force without a comprehensive framework of consumer protections in place.

This is an issue that we here at Musiconomi have been greatly focused on.

Individually, we want to ensure the greatest transparency and accountability of revenue received during our crowdsale. Collectively, our aim is to improve regulatory procedures and disclosure within the digital currency sector.

To that end, Musiconomi is proud to announce that we are joining the Project Transparency initiative. Project Transparency is a voluntary disclosure standard created by Santiment, made up of 16 leaders within the blockchain community, with the goal of creating a self-regulated, industry-led movement which aims to bring self-governance and greater disclosure, both for investors and for the community.

One of Musiconomi’s core beliefs is that greater transparency drives better and more sustainable business. Project Transparency affirms our commitment to this belief, by improving governance in the Blockchain sector. We will continue to move toward the greatest level of openness and accessibility possible because we believe this is what will help us attain our goals, and grow our community.
