For over a decade, Musixmatch’s mission has centered on enhancing music, amplifying the power of lyric-driven discovery, and making an artist’s voice accessible to fans everywhere. Continuing this mission, we focused on one of the most entertaining ways for fans to connect with Artists’ lyrics: Lyric Videos.
Lyric videos represent one of the most engaging forms of media to allow fans to connect with the songs they love and are a must-have for music promotion across social media. But don’t take it from us, just search for lyric videos on YouTube, the views are off the charts!
However, their creation may require specific motion and visual design skills and dedicated production effort, translating into an artist’s time and expenses. Leveraging the experience of our Musixmatch Pro Artist Community, Musixmatch has developed a tool to easily and quickly convert lyrics into stunning videos, shareable everywhere in just a few clicks.
From Lyrics to Videos
Musixmatch is now expanding services for artists and labels, maximizing the power of lyrics. Creating lyric videos is the latest addition to the Musixmatch Pro suite of tools and represents Musixmatch’s objective to make lyrics the next key video asset for artists.
Musixmatch Lyric Videos combines AI potential with the power of motion design, art direction, typography motion, and video content.
Artists and Labels can sign up or log in to their Musixmatch Pro account and start making videos to share with their fans immediately, choosing between short clips as social media assets or full-length formats for video entertainment.
This service is completely automated and requires no video editing, motion, or time synchronization expertise, and is designed to be intuitive on both mobile and desktop.

The simple-to-follow tool lists the artist’s songs from which the Musixmatch AI extracts moods, meanings, themes, and energy to propose consistent visual assets from its integrated library and visually represent the songs’ themes. It’s all automated, and it works like magic.
The extracted information represents the essence of a song, its DNA in terms of meaning and expression. Generally, an artist would need a production crew to turn that into a video. Instead, we partnered with Runway.

The collaboration between Musixmatch and Runway extends the reach of AI-powered media generation by putting generative video directly into the hands of our community of artists and musicians.
Our users will have access to Runway’s generative video models to convert lyrics data into prompts and generate unique short videos that can be included in the final output and expand Artists’ creativity.
This innovation represents a boost for independent Artists who want to maximize their artistic work and save time and effort, but also for labels and managers who can control video lyrics production costs using the most advanced AI technologies.

Making videos in one click
The user experience is simple and intuitive: by selecting a song and uploading the corresponding audio file, users can find multiple ready-to-use templates or start from scratch and compose their lyric video by choosing fonts, colors, animations, effects, textures, and go even further generating videos with Runway’s generative video models from their lyrics.
The tool can directly export the compositions as 30-second clips to create a social media-friendly asset, a Spotify Canva, or generate a full-length to allow Artist fans to connect with the deep meaning of a song.

We imagined turning making lyric videos into something easy to do, and that can generate excellent outputs with minimum effort at an affordable cost. For this reason, the experience has been created and developed following the guidance of our Artists’ community as we wanted to make it relevant for Artists and their needs and agile for the industry opportunities.
