The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him - ‭Lamentations 3:25

Do you remember how as a child our perception of time was almost non-existent? Summers seemed to last much longer than they actually were and the only situations that challenged this perceptions were Birthdays, Christmas, and family vacations in the car when all of us would quote the infamous " Are we there yet"?

As we grew up we began to understand that time affects everything that we can no longer blissfully ignore its effects and how doing so can greatly impact the quality of life we experience and can later attain as an adult.

‭To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven - ‭Ecclesiastes 3:1

Sadly time is now our enemy as everything has a deadline and if we don't maximize it we fear we could miss out on many long-term benefits. And yet amid all this hustle and bustle we can never truly relax or enjoy anything if we don't purposefully make time to disconnect, reflect, and ponder on what's most important.

Death and eternity are two areas we ignore until they occur and then we are forced to confront them head-on in all of their painful and uncomfortable circumstances.

‭And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment - ‭Hebrews 9:27

The good news is we have a choice to face and overcome them if we are willing to look to God and by faith place our trust in Jesus for salvation. It's a one-time event on our part that's guaranteed but requires us to wait on this promise until it is fulfilled when we die.

So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation - ‭Hebrews 9:28

Waiting on God gives us hope to face the future with confidence regardless of the circumstances. This can only take place if we take the time to study his word and begin to discover his promises found within its pages that can direct our paths that help us make quality life choices that bring him glory!

‭Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- ‭ 2 Timothy 2:15

Waiting on God is challenging but the external benefits outweigh any difficulties we may face here and now.

‭But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint - Isaiah 40:31

Are you waiting on God?
