Someone pointed out a company acquisition to me the other day (in Toronto’s community). They saw it while reading the Globe. It made the bottom corner of Page 2 of the business section — no pictures, just a write-up to make it official.

Radio silence on their social media. Beta Kit wrote about it though.

It’s super weird. With all of their huff, puff, and fluff that it all ends with an absorption into nothingness — only 20% towards a fictional goal, and a towel in the ring.

I haven’t seen anyone not sell-out at some point. Or close their doors. I’ve closed doors before for rest and recuperation. I may even sell out one day.

Though for an article in the bottom corner of B2, or to put on a bow-tie?

The company you keep indeed.
