JUICE (Jupiter’s Icy Moon Explorer) spacecraft is about to be launched right now! The objective of this voyage is to explore the 4 beautiful moons of Jupiter. These are huge moons hosting oceans of ice. The aim of JUICE is to examine the chemistry and magnetic field of these rare phenomenon, and also to look for signs of life. It is possible to have or have had inhabitants on three of these moons, Callisto, Europa and Ganymede. We can’t know until we go out there and find out. Due to some technical details, the spacecraft will have a launch window of 1 second today, and it is expected to arrive at these icy moons by 2031.
