Believe it or not, the world’s biggest interactive event is right around the corner. Spanning from March 11–15, 2016, SXSW Interactive brings together thousands of digital enthusiasts from across the globe to share knowledge, network, and have a good time in our beautiful hometown of Austin.

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be sharing lots of Mutual Mobile knowledge at this year’s big event, receiving invitations to participate in four panels ranging from connected devices to wearables.

Here’s a rundown of the sessions:

Wearables: The Future Isn’t in Measuring the Past

Featuring Mutual Mobile Co-Founder Mickey Ristroph and thought leaders from BSXAthletics, Garmin International, and Under Armour, this panel discusses the shortcomings of the wearables industry, and more importantly, what needs to be done for companies to provide the most optimal wearable experience.

Reactive Programming: Wake Up & Smell the Bacon.js

This workshop features Mutual Mobile Web Developer Braden O’Guinn and AGCO Senior Node Developer Mehdi Avdi providing in-depth insights into reactive programming. The session will cover foundational elements of reactive programming, move into more advanced topics like server-sent events, and even allow attendees to experience their very own React app built with Bacon.js baked right in.

Getting ROI on the IoT: How to Make a Business

Mutual Mobile’s expert Consulting Architect Kevin Harwood will join Stacey Higginbotham from Fortune, Bill Morelli from IHS Technology, and Errett Kroeter from Bluetooth SIG to outline IoT business strategy. This panel will provide a clear view into how IoT can bring value to businesses, along with consumer demands and how companies can meet those growing expectations.

Wrist UX for Smartwatches

Featuring our very own Conrad Stoll and friends from both Rithmio and T3, this panel will provide attendees a crash course in best practices for smartwatch design. This talk will provide practical tips, project examples, and real-life lessons on smartwatch UX for both AndroidWear and Apple Watch.

With SXSW drawing closer each day, it’s time to get your badges and start building your schedule. We invite you to join us for each of these panels while experiencing our beloved city that’s ripe with Texas beer, tacos, and talented digital minds. We’ll see you there!
