Why Thor: Ragnarok will be one of my favorite Marvel Movie!
If you haven’t got a chance yet to watch Thor: Ragnarok, I would like to request that you visit your nearest theatre soon! Yes, it is usual awesomeness from Marvel Studios but I would like to tell why I am especially mentioning this movie. Apart from having an excellent color theme and actors, this movie has beautifully represented the story and the blend of comedy is simply phenomenal.
To be brutally honest, my excitement for Marvel after watching Spider-man: Homecoming got diminished. I expected an usual fantastic movie from Marvel and what I got was almost an immature colorful movie. It was a huge disappointment for me. I literally wished that I hadn’t expected this much from it. The trailers were the movie. Especially after watching Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Batman v Superman and the hype for Justice League, I went almost hopeless for the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, after Spider-man: Homecoming I kept my excitement for Thor very low and just saw the trailers once and went straight for the movie. But the movie did bring my love back for Marvel. It had an awesome storyline, brilliant cast and the VFX were also good. It did feel a little predictable and somewhere Marvel seems to lose its creativity and moments of shock and thrill but overall, I had fun!
Also, the movie had some epic moments (more of a Zack Snyder thing though!) inspired by the Norse Mythology. Chris Hemsworth/Thor really looked like he was the God of Thunder and Tom Hiddleston/Loki perfectly portrayed the man of mischief and mysteries. They both had a great screen space together which was usual but again, good.
Talking about Mark Ruffalo and Hulk, a very keen and important role. The specifics of Tony Stark/Iron Man’s clothes, his anger of getting lost and trapping inside Hulk for two years, his part in Ragnarok, all were amazingly used. Hela, the Goddess of Death was gorgeous and deadly! She did have the potential of breaking Thor’s hammer and yes, she did it. She was full of grace and terror she was supposed to project. And the way all the heroes come on screen, the movie is an eye candy!
