This is my very first blog on Medium and I am really excited to share my experience with you guys. I have been struggling for an age to fill in all the data and create a table on Google Sheets and Excel, and yeah… I think you are on the same page.

My life has been changed after Honeycode was launched. It is a platform that uses spreadsheets view as a main interface to manage data. Interestingly, an application can be easily implemented without coding and, of course without any cost.

What is Amazon Honeycode?

You don’t need to be a teach savvy , I will show you how amazing and simple HONEYCODE is. The application I have built as an example here is tracking my expenses in August. Before we go through, here are the features that applied :

  • Creating and deleting expenses
  • Listing expenses
  • Searching expenses

Let’s START and FOLLOW the steps below to CREATE your own apps!

1. Sign up your account on the following link https://builder.honeycode.aws/auth/signup

2. Create workbook: There are templates you can choose to quick start your own workbook and application, but here I am going to create a new application by selecting Start from scratch

3. Define type of data: As you see the interface from the example below or on your workbook, YES! it is a spreadsheets-liked. Just name and modify a format for each column on the right.

4. Create an application: Click on Build app Icon and select Use app wizard

5. Set up and Review your application: You can follow an instruction on a video to create your application with App Wizard. Or you can follow what I have wrapped up here. Choose Table you want to create > Manage/Arrange your data > View App!

HOORAY!!

You got a new application to manage your expenses. You are able to access via laptop or mobile phone.

Thank you for taking your time exploring Honeycode with me. This is just an easy one to start with. Actually, it can be integrated with an advanced function. I will be back soon. Hope you enjoy building and using your own application ahead!
