On Friday, January 29, the UP Economics Society (UP Ecosoc), one of the leading organizations in the University of the Philippines Diliman, will host The Rundown 2016: Your Vote, Our Future, a senate elections forum for the youth and by the youth. It will be participated by various universities around Metro Manila, with an estimated number of attendees of over 2500 in head count, in the University Theater in UP Diliman, Quezon City.

On its second installment, The Rundown 2016, as one of the organization’s many cause-oriented endeavors, is envisioned to be a forum that will empower the Filipino youth by tackling the most controversial issues that 18 aspiring and incumbent senators, and re-electionists are facing head on and presented in such a way that is interesting and engaging in order to effectively promote critical thinking and informed decision making among the youth and the general public. This event encourages the youth to talk to and ask relevant questions for senator candidates personally.

The Rundown 2016 is officially endorsed by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and officially co-presented by ABS-CBN, DZMM, and ANC, with Ms. Karen Davila as its host and moderator. Among the senators that will be participating in the event are aspiring senators Edu Manzano, Richard Gordon, Risa Hontiveros, Mark Lapid, Isko Moreno, and Manny Pacquiao.

Together, let’s take charge because it’s going to be our vote, our future. See you at the University Theater in the University of the Philippines, Diliman at 4pm on January 29. For more details, like us on Facebook at www.fb.com/TheRundownSenateElectionsForum or follow us on twitter @TheRundownPH.
