Your local volley patrol is excited to kick-off our 22/23 season!

As of now our volunteer patrollers are actively working to support Mount Washington Alpine Resort staff patrollers at Nordic. We have some new uniforms this year, please keep an eye out and share a kind word with your local volunteer patrol! We’re always happy to help.

Our Alpine patrol is on stand-by while we wait for the mountain to fully open. How this works is we book our shifts in advance so we are good to go if and when the snow falls. This is an important part of patrol readiness.

When alpine patrollers are on the hill we will post another announcement. This year we haven’t done an intake, as we want to focus on getting into new routines post pandemic.

We have 47 Alpine patrollers and 7 Nordic patrollers volunteering this season. It’s an incredible group of volunteers that each commit to 12 volunteer shifts over the course of the season.

Many of our patrollers have been volunteering for over 20 years! We come from diverse backgrounds, including nursing, firefighting, ambulance, doctors, search and rescue and other non-first aid backgrounds as well.

What we share in common is passion for the mountains and for professional service. All of our patrollers have Occupational First Aid Level 3 or Outdoor Emergency Care certifications. These qualifications are reviewed annually at an in-person evaluation and refresher.

We’re looking forward to the season, see you up there soon!
