We’re on the Slopes

After a short delay due to a lack of snow, volunteer patrol is now actively supporting Mt. Washington Alpine Resort. Look for our patrollers in Red Arc-teryx or Taiga jackets on the alpine and nordic slopes!

Please feel free to say hello, ask for directions or support, or generally chat with us about the mountain. A big part of why we love volunteering is interacting with our community.

This year our duties are focussed on readiness to provide first aid, supporting safe skiing practices, monitoring boundaries and hazards, and opening and closing the hill.

We start every morning loading at sunrise, and work our way across the mountain. After that, we patrol in small groups fulfilling out duties and working collaboratively with staff patrol.
