The first three days of this diet are actually kinda fun.

Breakfast

1–2 Eggs
1/2 Orange

Lunch

Red Meat and Spinach

Afternoon

1/2 Orange

Dinner

Red Meat and Spinach

On top of that

You can eat AS MANY red meat and greens as you’d like.

Red Meats — The diet plan allows for steak, hamburger, roast, veal, and lamb. I kept it easy: steak tips and a big ole sleeve of hamburger.

Greens — I kept it to spinach, just because it was easy and cheap (and I couldn’t exactly tell what the sheet said about the other types of greens. You may be allowed to work in lettuce, broccoli, celery, green peppers, cucumbers, green onions, and cabbage. But I have no idea.

So I did that.

Tons of hamburger — bought the 5lb sleeve at Kroger. Cooked up a full pan the night before starting (May 25th). The next day I ate my half orange and eggs in the morning and drank 64 ounces a water through the day. Each meal had tons of greens.

One night I even treated myself to pre-cut steak pieces on the Forman grill (get one of those, it makes this diet a lot easier). Either way, grilled steak bits are an amazing snack. I plan to keep up this snacking for years to come.

Oh, the filmy thing on my teeth. I think it’s just from too much spinach. I make my teeth feel grimy. I brushed a lot.

Weigh-ins

Day 1–245.4

I had a pretty wild Memorial Day weekend of eating, knowing I’d be starting the diet on Tuesday.

Day 2— 240.5

Something is going either very right or very wrong.

Day 3–238.7

Very right.

Day 4–236.3

Day 4 weigh-in was in the morning before beginning the next 37 days of the diet that are not “cleanse” specific.

Within 3 or 4 days of just cleansing on mostly red meats and greens — and never feeling hungry due to the “eat as many red meats and greens as you want policy” — I am already down 9lbs. 236.3lbs is my lowest weigh-in in over a year.

Kobe! = “I’ll take it!”
