The #LATAMTech StartUp Community
As I’m trying to grasp the StartUp movement and specially its Latin American networks, I realized that there wasn’t shortage of initiatives in the region. Actually I ended up subscribing a bunch of newsletters, twitter lists and several linkedin groups. So I thought I’d be better to create a hashtag twitter community as an easy way to stay updated with the Latin American StartUp initiatives and keeping in touch with its like minded entrepreneurs.
DISCLAIMER: #LATAMTech initiative commits to the already existing community of the Latin American tech StartUps and its like minded entrepreneurs. Our mission is to bring a one-way connection for this community. #LATAMTech will not subscribe to only one organization or community. The idea is to support all the initiatives already existing in Latin America and help when possible.
As Henry Ford said,
If everyone is moving forward together, then SUCCESS take care of itself.
For that reason we need to tap #LATAMTech into people’s existing behavior of tweeting, it requires you to remember and add the #LATAMTech hashtag to relevant tweets and of course check up on other people’s #LATAMTech tweets. If you want to join us, it’s required to establish these routines.
So, how can you help?
It is very important to adopt the #LATAMTech hashtag whenever you tweet, reply or retweet the relevant content. That’s the basic.
Want to go further?
You can benefit the #LATAMTech community while boosting your personal Twitter account which can grow significantly by using #LATAMTech consistently as you increase reach and interaction. Here’s some examples:
- Start your own #LATAMTech series of tweets >> I already launched “StartUp of the day”, e.g.
You could try “advice of the week”, “startup reading list”, “startup cartoon of the day” whatever you want. Remember to add the hashtag and be consistent. You can schedule your tweets in advance with Buffer or Hootsuit.
2. Become a Promoter >> As I said this is a twitter initiative, but with your help this could grow to other platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google+ or LinkedIn. It’d be fantastic to have a partner on that. So if you’re interested, contact me at @ReinaldoPinto and I’ll get you started.
