Desired Effect

Sometimes we get blessed enough to experience the true joy of story. We can, for the moment, forget to analyze character, scene, plot, and theme to simply enjoy the ride.

We storytellers forget that the majority of the audience does not think as we do. A story to them is a story — simple as that. For them, it is nothing more than than an experience.

It can can be helpful to be part of the audience once again, wide-eyed and carried away by the emotion of it all.

We are reminded of what we are going for.
