Day 0.
“From completely oblivious to totally lost to web developer/designer … if I can do it anyone can.”
I imagine that will be the title of my medium piece when I land my dream web dev job in nyc next year. I have no clue what will be the most highlighted line — because I just started learning and don’t even know what I don’t know — or if anyone will even read my article, but this will be my way of keeping myself accountable to my goal of becoming a developer. It will also be a diary of my journey that I can look back on each month to see how far I’ve come (oh now I see what the difference between the id and the name tags are!).
Goals as of today:
- Learn HTML
- Learn CSS
- Learn Javascript — REALLY REALLY WELL.
- Bootstrap, j.Query
- Angular, React, Node.js
And along the way: build projects, ask questions, work with others, review what I’ve learned, and dabble in design when I feel burnt out.
After combing through many online resources, I’ve decided to start with Colt Steele’s Udemy Course: The Web Developer Bootcamp.
Will be documenting my daily progress and updating this publication at least 3x a week!
