It’s funny, funny how it feels
Feels like the tables finally turn
Turn the page to a bittersweet revival
Revival of so many lessons learned
Learned that it’s everything you thought it’d be
Be that as it may, it’s also just not
Not a simple melody but a chaotic jagged symphony
Symphony of things remembered and forgot

Forgot like all the stars just blinked on out
Out of sight when the moon arrived
Arrived so nothing quite feels settled
Settled debts, yet it's all on borrowed time
Time when destiny and eulogy
Eulogy meet somewhere in the dark
Dark deals shaking hands to seal the deal
Deal like they checked every mark

Mark on some list left by karma
Karma that told just what to do
Do with all the damage your storm left
Left when everything was through
Through now I'm standing at the tables
Tables where each one has been flipped
Flipped so glad I can finally say
Say I didn't fall; I tripped

Tripped over all the history
History we never left behind
Behind in spite of all our running
Running despite our broken minds
Minds that find a bittersweet revival
Revival, a chaotic symphony
Symphony when everything is nothing
Nothing and both love and loss agree.
