The city sleeps beneath a steel sky,

A jungle of concrete, reaching high.

Towering giants, cold and gray,

Steal the sun, and knock off the day.

He wanders beneath, a lonely soul,

Craving for a different role.

The gentle touch of water’s grace,

A childhood haven, a familiar space.

Beneath the bridge, he’d run and play,

As golden sunsets chased the day.

He remembers, with a wistful sigh,

Where river flows among millions cry.

The river calls, a siren’s song,

But duty’s grip, holds him strong.

His parents’ hopes, a heavy weight,

He strives to rise, to seal his fate.

Now, dreams of flight are in his mind,

But with chains of debt, he can’t unwind.

He knows someday, he’ll discover his way,

To that river’s banks, where dreams hold sway.

The city’s heart, though cold and vast,

Can’t quench the longing, forever cast.

For in his soul, the river’s flow,

Will guide him home, where he’ll let go.

Thank you for your time!
