Do you sometimes feel like a lighthouse, sending out signals that may or may not be picked up? Do you guide ships safely back or watch them wreck themselves before they can get to you?

We’re looking for writers that can summon up stormy poetry, fiction and personal essays — for all phases of the storm. Interpret this as you will.

The themes we’re currently looking for include:

Nautical
Relationships/Romance (please no erotica)
Life Lessons
Mental Health
Nature
Travel (best if you can include your own photos)
Death

Please make sure your work reflects one or more of these themes and be sure to include relevant tags. Each story should include a properly cited picture, subtitle and be single-spaced (Shift + Enter at the end of each line). Not required, but it would be lovely if you’d include “My Fair Lighthouse” as one of your five tags.

We also accept well-translated bilingual pieces in the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. More on that here:
