If the strategy was to remind people that they really do love this cookie, then why not the classic, “If you were stuck on a desert island or in a life raft and could have one food item what would it be?” Well, if it’s an Oreo that certainly reinforces how much we love that cookie we’ve known, forgotten, taken for granted for years. This ad does follow a bit of modern formula with the non-sequitor ending — seems that the popularity of Old Spice has spawned a genre too good not to copy. But it works. Question I have is why so few views on Youtube? At the time of this posting, the ad had been around for a year but its Youtube view counter showed a mere 44,000.
