As a self-published author of more than ten books at Amazon, I know how hard it is to get those needed reviews for your book. Even if your book is currently selling, many readers won’t necessarily give a rating even if they like your books. As a result, some authors even resort to buying book reviews which could only lead to Amazon banning their accounts.

What should an author do? If you’re an indie author like me, you may have tried to search the web for all those articles giving you tips on how to get your book reviewed. You could also gather a group of readers that would willingly read and review your book.

While it is indeed helpful to have an e-mail list to send a review copy of your book, not all authors could produce such a list, especially if they are just starting to publish on their own.

Other means would call for you to spend money so you could have your book listed on their website for a pool of book reviewers to see.
