Report: Buttonczech (English)
Back from Buttonczech, I won’t go into much detail as I will with my Czech report. Prostejov is not easily accessible, so I’d like to give a huge respect to all of you who showed up, right from the beginning. The fact that you like our community — or better said, the fact that we are this community together is simply amazing.
Since Friday evening, it was very obvious that KOF13 has the best competition to ever come to the land of Czechs. This fact helped me to decide to pick the game right on the day I came back home from Buttonczech.
Back to the event, I was really happy to see everyone having fun, no major problems, enough statios to play on (it was like a year ago when we could afford to have only four), we’ve had like 8 LCDs and 4 laptops, almost everyone was playing if not eating or taking a rest. And as much as I know this is and should be normal, I could leave my phone, my cables, any of my properties just laying around and no-one took even an idea of stealing anything. We’ve had some lost phones and pads in the past but it seems like we’ve had only grown people coming to both Hyper Arcade Collision and Buttonczech.

It was great to see you even though you had to pass on tour own Dojo event. Big props to King Rasta for taking Marvel. You outplayed me really well and even if I did my thing right, I dropped my combo or over-thinked out of nerves. I will have less drops next time and I hope for a runback sometime soon.
German Group
Dracula & Co., guys, you made an awesome KOF show. Like I told you, it’s epic that you’re coming back to visit us even though our community is small and the lack of competition is evident. It all started with a few casuals in Cannes and now we have something local KOF players can look forward to. I’m especially happy for Mot!onM4n who kept playing the game and practicing even in times when he was the only one interested in the game that it almost wasn’t going to be present on our tournaments.
However, I was kinda sad I couldn’t see Mot!onM4n and Dracula again in Grand Finals but SinJul was so strong, he literally locked Mot!onM4n out of his game. BTW, Dracula, practice some Marvel to beat the mexican guy next time and more of us next time :)

After Crono defeated prk` 3:0, I almost felt like he was so good that Grand Finals would be free. What a comeback! Van, you should have been the second in Marvel. You can beat both Mot!onM4n and me (if you have a piece of luck and mine flies out :P) but I know you’re not salty about this one. Let’s money-match or at least “honor-match” next time.
I feel like it all happened too quickly. I would like to see the German, Polish, Austrian and Czech scene come together more often and try to become some kind of Mid-European area. Even though I don’t feel like we’re the land of free anymore, we’re still the weakest when it comes to this area, so my message to Czechs (incl. me) is to practice more.
Shout-outs to Van, Dracula and prk` for being the best commentators.
I hope to see you guys very soon. Come to Kostelec in October (we will make English announcement soon), some of us are hopefully coming to Germany and/or some Dojo event in Vienna. Thanks to others for stream-monstering and keep playing.
