Just as I have promised in my previous article, today I want to share with you my impressions from the Scrapbooking rally that I actively participated.

Why ‘actively’? You’ll learn in a sec, but first some basic information on National Scrapbooking Day in Poland.

The scrapbooking rally was held in Katowice (Poland) on May 7th , when the National Scrapbooking Day is observed all over the world and mainly in the US.

The event begun at 11 and lasted until 5pm. During these several hours, apart from stands with card and album making elements, you could also take part in workshops that started at 10am. There were several themes of the workshops and you could:

1. Learn how to creatively document your every day life using the pocket scrapbooking technique.

2. Decorate old bottles in a retro style — using gels, pastes and crackle-effect paints

3. Learn techniques of flower forming and colouring. The flowers were made of different kinds of papers.

4. Create a notebook and a card as a set — learning how to match colours and to arrange the whole composition.

5. Make a Shabby Chic styled wedding album with heavily embellished cover and cards of various shapes inside — each of them decorated in a different way

Moreover, you could make male styled scrapcards, have fun with cardboards and make puppets out of them, and learn how to match colours and prettily paints digi stamps.

I took part in the Shabby Chic Wedding Album Workshop — to me it was a great chance to learn something knew. I’ll tell you about it in another post. Please follow my wall

Shopping!

Yes, that’s what me and surely all the other girls that came to the event have waited for. There were several shops to choose from, where we could buy:

scrapbooking cards — in every colour you could possibly imagine, cardboards, accessories such as: glue, scissors, tapes, card and album bases, bows, blanking dies, pearls and half-pearls, strips, gels, hole punchers, 3D tapes — generally all sorts of decorating elements used in the album and card scrapbooking.

And here’s what I bought :)

I mostly bought cards, since I’ve started to run out of them, but my scrapbooking supplies have been joined by flowers, album bases, paste and metallic gel.

PS. In your free time I encourage you to try our digital card making app. Please visit http://scrapbooking.tenkai.pl/ where you’ll find sample cards with links to the shop where you can download the app.
