After I finished reading Guy Spier’s “The Education of a value investor” in January 2015, I started watching countless videos on youtube from the impressive collection of work done by the valueconferences.com. So the next natural step for me was to learn more about the work of John Mihaljevic.

In his book “The Manual of Ideas” he performs an impressive analysis of many great value investors. It reminded me of Whitney Tilson’s book The art of value investing. Thank you Guy Spier for recommending this book. The MOI community has indeed a lot to teach.

My purpose in life is independence, fulfilment and a better understanding of how the world works. Like Charlie Munger, I believe in the discipline of mastering the best that other people have ever figured out. And like Sir Isaac Newton, I believe in our ability to see further than any others before us by acknowledging that we are standing on the shoulders of giants. With this blog I hope to keep track of my learning about investing, business, decision making, entrepreneurship and self development while inspiring others to do the same.
