Strategic IT consulting services are a profound mix of soft and hard skills, it’s a mix of humanity and proficiency:

Providing information, solving complex problems, making a diagnosis, making recommendations, building consensus and commitment around project goals, training, providing blueprints and best practices, oftentimes followed by R&D management and development.

My track record of tens of successful projects is not just the product of my professional expertise. It is the outcome of special client relationships based on loyalty and trust.

Consultation is a challenging client relationship, as in one hand, it sometimes reveals sensitive subjects the client is well aware of but has difficulty discussing with an outsider and on the other hand, sensitive subjects some consultants prefer not to tell the client. This is where soft skills of consultant, and quality of relationship come true. Soft Skills are the first aid that certainly influences and yields to engagement and to projects’ success. In absence of those qualities, the diagnosis and recommendations won’t be revealed, accepted or implemented. The consultant in addition to his important hard skills, needs superb emotional intelligence, the ability to build trust, persuade and engage client’s key players to the process.

The best consultants are those who know to move the relationships farther in a collaborative direction than the client expects, kindle enthusiasm and demonstrate to all stakeholders that the reason of the consultation is not to discover what’s wrong in order to allocate blame but to encourage constructive ideas for improvement. Then people at all levels of an organization come to see the project as helpful not as the unwanted inquisition.
