Imagine you have a son. He’s your whole world, the reason you get up in the morning perhaps even. Raising him (and his brothers/sisters) is the honor of your life. Then imagine he grows up and shits all over your choice to have a career outside your home. He diminishes your achievements and even the choice you made as his mother.

Then, you might be Harrison Butker’s mom.

She is a clinical medical physicist at Emory University.

You know…a real badass!

In a recent commencement speech at Benedictine College, a private liberal arts college in Kansas, Harrison Butker stated: “I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career?
