My first birthday note from her — February 19th, 2014

I think you have had enough of my own notes for now. Its’ perhaps time to hear from the other side. A lot of the ‘notes’ from Abisola were in person and spontaneous. Unlike mine, where I had to write, edit, re-read, re-write just to ensure that it is nothing but perfect.

Truth is that we love in different ways, and we perceive love in different ways. One of the greatest discoveries we can make in our relationship is to learn how the other person prefers to be loved. One of the greatest sacrifices we can make is to actually love the way they would prefer to be loved.

Some gifts are more special than the others. For someone who isn’t really into writing notes, anyone I get from her is gold! This is how much this particular note means to me. I can imagine the work she put into it. It reminds me of “I cannot offer a sacrifice that costs me nothing.” This cost so much and I cherish it with everything.

My treasure,

You are a reminder of God’s love to me. Your love is overwhelming, calm and deep. Over and over again I give you my heart.

You are happiness, kind and loyal. Wise and full of words, skilled in speech and writing.

I always look forward to your notes. You construct and convey the words accurately, it pierces and hits the target, makes me scream yes within me. Spiritual words…you lack not, Love words…you inspire me. I await special tutorials on that.

Hardworking, generous and cheerful…you give unconditionally. If a man could marry more than one I doubt you would have issues managing them, you exude love and maturity. But I’m glad you get to choose just one which is me. Sharing is not an option… I want all of you and I have that.

I’m proud of you at all times. You have made me have more reasons to be better and grow to be the Queen for you, adorned beautifully and fit for your palace and royalty.

I can boldly say that I have found a friend in you, a confidant in you, joy in you, a husband in you (I maintain my position for now till my name is changed). I’m unrelenting in my love for you. You are the one for me.

I pray this day that your heart desires are met this year.

I pray for a better you.

Your fountain is blessed, you are a fruitful vine, your bow remains steady. You grow exceedingly prosperous and you increase in greatness. All grace abound towards you and you have all you need at all times. You yield fruit in season and flourish.
