We all know how tempting it can be to cave on your healthy eating habits for the meal that follows dinner…

Yep, I’m talking about dessert.

How would you feel if I told you that dessert is still possible without abandoning your health or fitness goals? This little gem WILL have you eating cake everyday and WON’T break your macro goals.

With only three ingredients, your new dessert favourite is dairy free, gluten free and sugar free, but it’s still fudgy and delicious. Curious?

Known as the ‘mug cake’, this dessert is incredibly macro friendly and delicious.

I mean, what more could you ask for when you’re feeling confined to a diet. It even includes one serve of fruit!

Honestly, I will be the first one to say that I can’t stick to a lifestyle change unless I can incorporate sweet foods in some way. This recipe is my outlet; my go to dessert when I really start to feel like I am missing out or wanting to give in to temptation too much.

I am not saying eating cake is bad, no way, but if you’re like me and love your healthy lifestyle and want to give yourself the best chance of sticking to your goals, than this dessert is very helpful!

10 minutes in the oven, or 1 minute in the microwave is all it takes — here goes!

The Three Ingredients for your Mug Cake

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

Your Three Ingredient Mug Cake Instructions

  • Cut banana and put banana into blender.
  • Crack one egg into blender.
  • Put 1 tbsp of cacao powder into blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into mug.
  • Bake in oven for 10 min. at 170°C (or microwave for 1 min.)

You can even add toppings, or mix in extras like coconut or peanut butter. It’s easy to make your own twist on it, and always have a cake for dessert if you want to!
