Easy tips for being healthy
Don’t have time to worry about health and fitness? You probably should prioritise it a bit more, but understandably, most of us do struggle from time to time.
Do you need some quick tips and tricks for being and STAYING as healthy as you can?
In this blog I am sharing some of my go to tricks to staying on top of my health and fitness, even when life gets a bit overwhelming.
1. Stock up on frozen vegetables.
Have these on hand in the freezer for every meal, and you won’t have an excuse to skip out on your side of vegetables. It’s not hard when the preparation has been done for you and all you have to do is stem them till their done.
2. Prepare a box of grab-and-go snacks.
In the house, at your desk, in the car — keep a handy box of healthy snacks every where you might find yourself making unhealthy choices. Fill it with nuts, seeds, fruit, vegetable sticks etc. Whatever you like to snack on when you get peckish. That way, you will be less tempted to make that unhealthy choice.
3. Carry around a BIG water bottle wherever you go.
Not kidding, always have water handy. It not only fills you up but staying hydrated is going to help you so much more than you think. Don’t underestimate the power of being hydrated. Need some encouragement in this area? Find yourself a water bottle that tracks your hydration.
4. Fill your plates with vegetables BEFORE anything else.
That way you know you’re getting your full serving. Eat them first as well — that way you’re ensuring you fill up on all the good stuff before reaching for those sides (like french fries or potato gems).
It doesn’t take too much, you don’t even have to change a lot.
Implement a few little tweaks and you can start to be the healthy individual you want to be, without it taking too much of your day.
Always remember though, consistency is key and an all-round healthy lifestyle changes takes more than a few “tweaks”, but they do help!
