There is a common misconception regarding healthy eating. Many of us find it difficult to stick to a diet or change our food habits due to the options we think we have to limit ourselves to. The truth is, eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to eat boiled chicken and vegetables for each meal of the day!

Imagine if you were on a ‘diet’, but you looked forward to each meal you had to eat? Well that’s not really being on a diet now is it? Although, this may sound to be good to be true — it’s not. There are plenty of foods out there that you can enjoy while still being healthy and staying on track with your fitness goals.

If you are not sure where to start, there are some great healthy eating cookbooks available at your local supermarket or you can simply find recipes online. A rule of thumb if you are looking to lose weight is to consume roughly 1200 calories per day if you are female and 1600 calories if you are male. When preparing your meals, make sure to look out for the calorie and macronutrient breakdown for each recipe (most good cookbooks will have this). If not, you can put in the ingredients of your meals in to a meal tracker like MyFitnessPal to help keep you on track.

If you are a busy professional who doesn’t have the time to cook — make sure to check out our range of healthy and delicious meals. We have over 30 different meals to choose from (including vegan meals) to ensure your lunches and dinners are never boring again.

Keep your diet on track this year while enjoying the food that you eat!
