This was a tough month to be writing blogs.

First of all, this was the month of Ramadan, which means extended traffic jams throughout Dhaka city. Work hours were reduced, simply to make time for more and more traffic jams. Secondly, each of the weekends needed to be reserved for attending Iftar parties. Some were really impossible to avoid, so there wasn’t much time spent at home. And finally, you have to sleep in two or three phases during night, so a good nights sleep was nearly impossible.

Anyhow, I made free times by sleeping less at night. And, so, what’s the update?

Till now, it seems good. On the API front, I’ve already completed most of the API. I’ve already bought a server and uploaded the APIs. The http response seems faster enough to work with.

On the Android front, the skeleton has been built. I’ve used a different Image loading library this time, Glide. Performance seems better than Picasso, although I haven’t benchmarked it. I just need to cache and pick a cool launcher icon for the app.

Additionally, I’ve registered a domain, which is being processed right now. Don’t know when I’ll have access to it.

This was the most general update. Tonight or tomorrow, I’ll work on the android app.
