When will I know if I’ve been awarded a scholarship? (2024–25 entry)

Here’s a little bit more about what to expect over the coming weeks.

Are funding offers sent at the same time as departmental offers?

If you’re one of the 10,000-ish people who get that big ‘Yes’ from a department you could be sent an offer of funding at the same time, though many are sent separately later on.

When will you contact me?

Awards are usually made between late February and June — you can find notification dates via our Scholarships A-Z listing.

Some awards may require an additional application. If this is the case, you will be contacted in late March and asked to provide more information.

Will you let me know if I’m not successful in applying for a scholarship?

The University only notifies successful scholarship applicants and offers are almost always sent by email. However, if you are contacted and need to provide an additional application to Student Fees and Funding, you will be notified if you are unsuccessful.

Competition is very strong but we’re expecting to offer around 1,000 partial and full scholarships for courses starting in 2024–25. Good luck with your application!
