Welcome to the ramblings of a curiously opinionated 22 year old

Here’s the thing. I’m quite curious. I’m also quite opinionated. That’s not to say that I’m close-minded or ignorant, but rather that I create opinions about the things I learn, and I approach these things with an open, inquisitive mind.

I recently graduated, and although I don’t have any more lectures, I’m far from done with learning. As I learn, I love sharing tidbits of knowledge with others. Maybe it’s a cool video, an interesting article, an engaging lecture, or an entertaining book. Whatever it may be, I feel that I haven’t fully understood a concept until I’m able to relay it to someone else with just enough detail. I generally do this face-to-face with friends, or a small audience, but there hasn't been a permanent home for my ramblings as of yet. So I figured it’s about time.

I've been wanting to start a blog for a couple years now, but have been making the excuse of not finding a suitable online platform (I’m very picky). Then I heard about Medium, liked the idea, and waited to be invited to the beta. And today I was given access (Hooray!).

Here’s what you can expect. I love learning about a variety of topics, and as I learn new things, I’ll post them here. I’ll probably also post ramblings about issues from my day to day life. In general, here are some topics: UX design, bad designs, Islam, developmental psychology, human behaviour and interaction, social norms, and other fun stuff.

(Oh and the picture above was from a trip to California last December. Expect a post in about 4 months about how cold winters are in Canada and how I wish I could go back to San Diego.)
