Part 1/9: Haven, away from the Drama Hell
A trip to the haven.
Hi guys, Howard here. Unfortunately, my detox has to come to an end due to the new school semester of course, which means I’m back in the social media scene. Being away from social media for as long as 7 weeks, I must say I’ve mostly met my objectives (yes, mostly). If bigger personalities can survive a social media detox, I don’t see how I’m less capable of doing so. So, here’s my experience on the 7-week long detox so far…
Preface
Social media detox doesn’t mean internet detox or gadget detox. In fact, I still use my phone for essential communication, and more so the internet to accept orders as part of my job requirements, just that I don’t access the social media on all my devices. Before I started on this adventurous journey to detox from social media, there were naysayers that told me I would fail halfway and would be eager to return to the social media scene. But guess what? I did not succumb to whatever the naysayers said. Whether you choose to believe my words or not, I can say that I have survived the whole detox period that I’ve set for myself, and have even contemplated on extending it further if not for the new school semester…
Want to know what motivates me to go on a social media detox? Stay tuned to Part 2, coming out tomorrow.
