Near my home I found a painting of a butterfly on a rock. It wasn’t your standard graffiti, it was something special! And it was near the beach (and by “near”, I mean “perpendicular to”), so why not capture both?

I focused on the butterfly on the rock and snapped some shots, using a small aperture for blurry ocean background.

Interesting butterfly painting … but what’s next to it?
Bird poop. Awesome.
“I know, let’s focus on the bird poop” said no-one, ever.
Focusing on the bird poop with ocean in the background.

Composition reminder: always watch for bird poop in the shot.
