Leading Lines … To Nowhere

Leading lines are a great compositional element…when they are used well.

“Where are your leading lines directing you? […] If the answer is ‘nowhere in particular’ or ‘our of the frame, avoiding the subject’, then you’re doing it wrong.” Joshua Dunlop

When I took this shot at the Venetian in Las Vegas, I thought I had something great. On review though, I found that I made the leading lines 101 mistake: lines that lead nowhere.

I’ll be back in Las Vegas again next year. I’ll try again then.
