But it doesn’t work this way with some people

Isn’t it supposed to be “One hand washes the other” as in one person helps the other person or people help each other out? Why is it that it isn’t always like this with certain people? You have your neighbors who are supposed to watch out for you and be your friend and then you have your neighbors who pretend to watch out for you and be your friend.

Although it may start out like they are your friend when you first move to the neighborhood, often times, it doesn’t remain that way. This is the sad part of it too. It always starts out “welcome to the neighborhood” and next thing you know they are calling the sheriff on you complaining that your grass is a little bit high. And they know that it isn’t your fault. Since your lawn mower isn’t working right now, and no one else wants to cut it, it really isn’t your fault.
