My Last Article Was To Be My Last On Medium
Given the critical state of the world today, I just cannot be quiet.
Number one gripe? Americans! Yes, I know the USA is the “world power” but one look in the history books and anyone can see that many world powers have ended up in the toilet bowl. Just in the twentieth century, seven once powerful empires have collapsed — the British Empire, Japan, Mandarin China, Austria-Hungary, Germany and Ottoman Turkey. The Soviet State collapsed twice! Tsarist Russia and Soviet Russia.
Will this happen to the USA? Yes. Why? Two-thirds of Americans are stupid.
One-third of eligible voters did not vote. Stupid. One-third of eligible voters voted for Donald Trump and the GOP. Really stupid. Less than one-third voted for the Democrats. Given the current state of the Democratic Party, a vote for the Dems was a waste of votes. Voters might have been better off voting for Independents.
As readers of my articles know by now, I am Canadian. I have no wish to be American. Not that I have anything against Americans generally. Just the stupid ones, and that seems to incorporate two-thirds of American voters.
